Terms & Conditions for Lovehoney Smut Book Club

In Partnership with Romancing the Novel - Paddington

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern your participation in the Lovehoney Smut Book Club ("the Event") hosted in partnership with Romancing the Novel at their Paddington location. By booking your spot for the Event, you agree to comply with and be bound by these T&Cs.

2. Booking Details

  • The Lovehoney Smut Book Club Event is a paid experience where each attendee is required to pay a $30 fee to secure their spot.
  • The $30 fee covers the cost of the book and a special Lovehoney sex toy, which will be mailed to you ahead of the event.
  • The book will be sent to you prior to the Event for you to read in preparation for the discussion.
  • Only one reservation per individual is allowed.

3. Ticket Availability & Confirmation

  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked with a $30 payment to confirm your spot.
  • Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email, along with details regarding the book and sex toy selection.
  • Lovehoney and Romancing the Novel reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Event, or make changes to the schedule if necessary. In the event of a change, all attendees will be notified via email.

4. Age Requirement

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to attend the Lovehoney Smut Book Club.

  • By booking your spot, you confirm that you meet the age requirement.

5. Code of Conduct

  • You agree to behave in a respectful and considerate manner during the event.

  • Any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to harassment, intoxication, or disruptive actions, may result in removal from the event without a refund or compensation.

6. Health & Safety

  • Lovehoney and Romancing the Novel will take all reasonable measures to ensure the health and safety of attendees.

  • Please follow any safety instructions provided by the event staff to ensure a positive and safe experience for all participants.

7. Dietary Preferences & Restrictions

  • While the event will primarily focus on book discussion and enjoyment of the provided book and sex toy, attendees are invited to inform us of any special needs or preferences.

  • Please note that the event will not specifically accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences, but we encourage you to inform us ahead of time if you have any concerns.

8. Photography & Media Consent

  • By attending the event, you consent to the possibility of being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes.

  • These images and videos may be used for marketing, advertising, and social media posts by Lovehoney and Romancing the Novel.

  • If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify event staff upon arrival.

9. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • If you are unable to attend the event after booking, please cancel at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund of your $30 booking fee.

  • Failure to cancel at least 48 hours before the event or failure to attend without prior notice will result in forfeiture of your $30 fee.

10. Liability

  • Lovehoney and Romancing the Novel are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property occurring during the event, except where such injury, loss, or damage is caused by the negligence of Lovehoney, Romancing the Novel, or their employees.

  • You attend the event at your own risk.

11. Data Protection

  • By booking a spot for the event, you agree to Lovehoney and Romancing the Novel collecting and processing your personal data in accordance with their Privacy Policies.

  • Your personal data will be used for the purpose of managing your reservation and sending event-related updates.

12. Changes to the Terms & Conditions

  • Lovehoney and Romancing the Novel reserve the right to modify or update these T&Cs at any time.

  • Any changes will be posted on their respective websites, and it is your responsibility to review the T&Cs before attending the event.

13. Governing Law

  • These T&Cs are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.
