Become a perfect DOMINATRIX. Many men dream of being treated like a slave by their dominant partner in bed and of submitting to her kinky desires. 1. Mistress likes this book

Reviewed: 8 February 2014 by Sum Sub, a Straight Married Male

I plucked up the courage about a year ago to to tell me wife that I wanted to be submissive to her, and explained to her what that meant to me, and what kind of things I imagined that would entail, and she duly obliged, becoming Mistress as well as wife.

This is something that it is really far away from her natural character, and at first something she felt quite alien. We spent a lot of time talking, working D/s scenarios into our everyday lives, fitting it around work and the kids.

In these early days of D/s, although I was submissive, I was still generating ideas and suggesting ways she could humiliate me, or punish me, or things she could get me to do. Then I saw this book on Lovehoney's website, and ordered it.

When it arrived, is sat unopened for a week or two until we had our next 24/7 submission session planned, when my wife took the book up and began to read.

      The subsequent session was amazing.

This book gave my wife, as Mistress, enough information and ideas for her to not need me to suggest anything at all, this book has enabled her to take the final step into Domination and not require my input. We still "debrief" afterwards to talk about how things were for us both, but this book has opened all manner of kink in my wife.

The book itself contains pretty much everything a Domme needs to know with regards to dominating a man - from history, punishments, outfits, there is so much information.

The book is well laid inside, each section is clearly defined, and is written in short paragraphs, so that you could pick one specific topic to read up on, and find it with ease, and not have to spend too long reading.

We have come to leave this book out now when doing a D/s scenario, since Mistress can just leave, me the sub in whatever predicament I am in, and read for ideas and inspiration while I wait, such is her prerogative.

I think this book is ideal for beginners to intermediates in the Domme role, and as you garner ideas from the book, you develop your own too.

      It's well worth the investment.

You can easily dip into the book for specific items.
      It's not awfully discreet.
      Bottom line
      Really pleased I purchased this.

    1. Great for beginners like us

      Reviewed: 4 November 2012 by boing-boing

I bought this so we could learn about more about bondage and the like as it's a new subject area for the both of us. Due to its cheap price I went for this.

It's an average size book (for sex guides) at 120 pages and covers a lot of topics, but most of them in a very brief format. It's more a dictionary of bondage in places. There is a lot to it though, but that does go against it a little bit as due to small text and lack of photos or diagrams can be a bit uninviting to read. I like my sex guides to have some diagrams and photos to see a clear idea of what is being talked about.

Overall, I would recommend it as a beginners guide as it was informative and interesting, but there are probably a lot more interesting versions of the theme out there.

Covers a lot in a short book.
Text heavy, could do with a few photos.
      Bottom line
Comprehensive on its topics, but the not the jazziest book out there.

    1. Some great hints and tips

Reviewed: 14 October 2012 by jee

The book is great if you want some ideas on how to dominate your man! It is written on the assumption that you have no prior domination experiences, so it's easy to get in to.

There are "fictional" accounts of some of the points made to help illustrate them which are fun to read! The excerpts and personal accounts at the end aren't all that great, but they're a good insight as to what others out there are into!

Some pictures would have been nice, however! The only pictures are on the front and back covers.

So to summarise, although the book isn't perfect it's well worth a read!

Well written and well laid out book.
Some pictures would have been nice.
      Bottom line
Not the holy bible of domination, but still a good read!

    1. I demand MORE!

Reviewed: 17 September 2010 by CurlyCoupleWife, a Straight Married Female

This is a paperback with no pictures aside from the lovely front cover.

The book is split into 3 major sections:

A section about sexuality, the history of SM and what SM can entail. This is quite interesting, easy to read and makes you want to continue reading.

I want to be your slave!

A section about setting the mood, costume, furniture, techniques, implements and toys you might use, including some safety concerns. The part on implements and toys is really quite comprehensive and even includes some extracts from other books (fiction and non-fiction) that relate to the various toys. I think this has been done really well. What could have been a repetitive, monotonous list has actually been made exciting.

      Pleasure through Pain & Submission

31 pages of first-hand reports and excerpts from non-fiction books. This is the bit I was after. As a more natural sub who switches, I needed some inspiration. This has exciting, insightful and inspirational accounts – some of which I'm looking forward to replicating at home.

      Very well written, exciting.
I wish the book was longer – 120 pages left me wanting.
      Bottom line
Very good – just wish the final chapter was longer.

    1. A good read

      Reviewed: 17 May 2012 by Desperatehousewife111

I was interested in experimenting with being dominant and thought this book would be a good book to start with.

It was well written and I found it hard to put down. Each chapter was short and sweet.

Obviously it's not War and Peace but I was pretty engrossed in it! I got some tips from it and it helped me to become a little more imaginative!

Overall I would recommend this book. Not something to keep on your sitting room shelf but maybe in your bedside locker.

It was well written and divided into easy to read short chapters.
Nothing - although if there were a list of tips that might have been helpful.
      Bottom line
      Worth buying. A good read.
