The L'Amourose Denia is my favourite toy for now. I absolutely adore its vibrations and I like or can live with all the rest.
The vibrations are the rumbliest of all my toys. I often see comparisons between L'Amourose and Lelo, but I don't know where they come from: For me the only similarity is the ridiculous “luxury” packaging (more to that later). Regarding the vibrations, the Denia is in a completely different league – it plays for the national championship, the Mona 2 is in regional competitions.
Unlike the Happy Rabbit 2 (vibration-wise that's my second favourite) the Denia starts with rather mild vibrations whose intensity can be increased by pushing the + button (and then decreased with the – button, which also switches the toy off if you press if long enough). The third button (between the two others) has a wave symbol and changes the patterns: Constant speed in shaft and clit stimulator, constant speed in only the shaft (though the clit arm vibrates a bit from the shaft's motor), constant speed in only the clit arm, vibrations changing between main shaft and clit arm, same change but faster, pulsating shaft and constant vibration in the clit arm – and then I'm not sure what happens... I've only made the list for this review, when I'm actually using the toy I generally stick with constant speed or possibly move up to the change between the arms. Unfortunately there is no way to go back to a pattern when one has pushed the button too often – I generally switch off completely (by pressing the minus button) and then start again at constant speed (there's no memory of the last setting)
The buttons are one of the Denia's weaker points: They are hidden under the silicone and you need sensitive fingertips to feel the little symbols embossed on it. This was originally a reason for me to not buy this toy (then I got a deal I couldn't resist), but in use it turns out it's not as bad as it sounds: My fingertips are sensitive enough and the buttons are far enough apart so that I can change settings by feel when the toy is inserted. The button situation could be better, but I can live with it as it is.
The Denia's shape works very well for me: My clit likes pressure, and it gets it. In the right place if I push the toy just a little bit, which is a vast improvement over my other rabbits. I don't mind the flat base, but then I mostly use the Denia hands-free (apart from a finger to push it in the perfect position) – once it's inserted I find it stays very well in place.
The noise level is okay – louder than the Mona 2, but much quieter than the Happy Rabbit 2. I would not hesitate using it under the duvet, with the door closed, if there were people in the next room (regardless of the thickness of the walls and door).
Charging the empty battery takes something like 3 to 4 hours with my Continental European mains charger. It seems different from the UK version in that it consists of a wall adapter with USB connector and a USB cable to the toy's black diamond base (meaning I could charge my Denia with my laptop and could use the wall adapter for another toy with USB cable). Using the black diamond base charger is a bit of a hassle – the toy needs to be positioned just right and the connection is easily disturbed. It is one way to get a waterproof toy, though... When the battery is charging the wave symbol flashes slowly, when it is fully charged the symbol glows constantly. When the battery runs low during use the symbol starts to flash quickly.
Now to the packaging: It's perfectly useless, even worse than Lelo's. The design is vertical and the upper part of the box slides over the lower part, which is only about one quarter of the total height. If you are not careful when unpacking the contents risk falling out. With the toy and its charger come an authenticity card (offering 18 months warranty after registration on the L'Amourose web site), a not very helpful multi-language user manual (it lists neither the patterns nor the technical specifications of the battery), and a sachet of lube which I have not tested as I prefer my Sliquid (keeping the sachet for travel, though – it's without glycerin and parabens and will do in a pinch). By the way, the Denia is small enough and the silicone is so smooth that I don't even need lube when I'm really aroused. Oh yes, there's also a storage bag consisting of a velvety outside layer and an inner lining in some silky material. I consider all of that superfluous, but I suppose it helps to justify the list price, which is certainly the biggest drawback of the L'Amourose Denia.
- Wonderful deep, rumbly vibrations, shape is good for me (including the handle).
- High price, manual not informative enough.
- Bottom line
- A very, very good toy - if you can afford it!

I've fallen for Denia
Reviewed: 6 January 2016 by Echo32B
I had no idea I even wanted the Denia till it came up on sale. I had been so blinded by the hefty price tag that I had completely overlooked it as a toy. I’m guilty of being very lazy with my orgasms, so I tend to opt for rabbit style toys that provide G-spot and clitoral stimulation in one. The Denia is technically in that category but a great change from the usual form. I had heard a lot about the rumbly-ness of Lamourose toys, so having had trouble in the past with buzzy toys ‘making me numb before I can cum’ it didn’t take long for me to realise I was destined to own the Denia.
This is my first ‘luxury toy’ and I have to say the experience of receiving, owning and getting to put something really expensive in my vagina has been amazing. The packaging is a solid and sleek black box, with the logo embossed in gold on the front. Inside is your toy, the docking station for charging, some ‘intimate’ lube, storage bag, a very brief instruction manual and a warranty card.
It took a few hours to charge fully, and I spent that time staring at the Denia and pondering its relatively diminutive size. The shape is damn near perfect, with a great curve to the shaft, I could see it wasn’t going to impale my G-spot, just rest itself firmly against it.
The Denia rests on the charging dock, instead of actually being plugged in, and I kept hearing a quiet but very high pitched electrical whine from it. I’d get up and re position the Denia, only for it to start this noise again a few minutes later. I don’t know if this is normal, but it is fairly annoying.
The silicone is very smooth on the Denia, possibly the best feeling silicone I’ve come across so far. I suggest lubing the Denia up anyway even though it’s small and sleek because you may like me have trouble getting it in and positioning it. Despite the ‘shift and flex’ technology I found it really unforgiving when I was attempting to insert it, there is not much room between the shaft and the clitoral arm, so more flex would have been better.
Once inserted the Denia feels fairly clamped in place, I could stand up and not worry about it falling out. This is because of the shape and the lack of room between the shaft and arm. It also means the clitoral arm is very firmly pushed against you which may be a pro or a con depending on your personal preference. Since I like both very firm pressure and feather light touch, it’s not a negative to me, but I would have preferred some level of control over it (with a traditional rabbit, I can do either by changing the angle I hold it). The shaft also pulls itself in firmly against your G-spot which feels great and it rests at the perfect hight for me.
I don’t have to hold the Denia in place, but it’s still comfortable to hold the base if I want to which is a vast improvement on traditional rabbit handles that can be a pain to hold at that awkward angle. I quiet like to sit up on the bed and rock back and forth on the base. Which when lubed up is pleasurable even without the vibrations on. This is not really something you can thrust with, but I don’t think it’s even remotely necessary as this toy has so much else to offer.
The buttons are simple, and no cycling through power settings (yay!), as it has plus and minus buttons. It does have patterns too and these do have to be cycled. I don’t tend to like patterns, but there are some interesting ones on there and of course it’s a big positive being able to change to have either the shaft or arm on instead of both.
THE RUMBLE. I love its rumbly-rumble goodness! Honestly, second setting was enough to tip me over the edge in a matter of minutes, and I find it quite tough to orgasm usually. I’ve only been up to the highest settings with it in my hand because it’s just too powerful for me, but I can report it gets rumblier rather than buzzier as the vibrations get stronger. Once or twice the Denia seemed to turn itself off during on my first use, but it hasn’t happened since. I actually squirted with this, for only the fourth time in my life, which I wasn’t expecting as usually I need a very pronounced G-spot curve and rigid material. Good job the Denia is waterproof really!
The vibrations are not whisper quiet, but they still fall in the quiet category, on the higher settings it does get a tiny bit louder, but really you would not hear it through a closed door.
I wish they had scaled the Denia up just a little bit, without changing the shape, just so I could have a slightly bigger shaft and more room between the shaft and the clitoral arm. But then again if they had, I’d probably never leave my bedroom, because the Denia would then be the Holy Grail of sex toys for me. Anatomically we are all very different but I would suggest only buying this if you like firm pressure on your clitoris, because that seems quite unavoidable with the Denia.
The Denia has made its way to the top of my very vast list. I will always come with the Denia, and that’s not an easy accomplishment for any toy. Amazing for my G-spot, clitoris, hands free and able to make me squirt. What more could a girl ask for?
- The rumbly vibrations, the design, the silicone!
- Not much room between the shaft and clitoral arm.
- Bottom line
- My first luxury toy. I have to say it's been worth every penny so far.

Move over Lelo, there's a new king on the block

Move over Lelo, there is a new boss in town and there is no messing with this French connoisseur of sexual pleasure!
It’s like L’Amourose have opened up my inner thoughts of sexual desire and made them into a silicone god of power. Okay, okay, maybe that’s an over statement but WOW, L’amourose has impressed me so far. After reviewing the l'amourose denia L’amourose Rosa Rouge, I really didn’t think anything else could meet my needs.
But I was proved wrong.
The Denia is strong and hits the spot with ease. It is flexible and both the ear and shaft will stretch to fit the person that is using it.
I did find the operational buttons were a tad icky to deal with in use but over time, I seemed get use to this.
The rabbit ear still didn't rock my world but at the end of the day, it felt much better than your average rabbit without feeling like I was being hammered with a blunt spoon!
The Denia's dual motor really can be felt, if you like your power tools and rabbits, then this is the vibrator for you.
- Strong, good material, hit the spot.
- The ear.
- Bottom line
- Left me wanting more.
