    1. Love love love these condoms

Reviewed: 6 October 2013 by Aln1980, a Straight Engaged Male

My partner and I love to try out condoms that will give us the feeling of not wearing one but with the protection that comes from wearing one. I have tried a good many condoms with dots, stripes, numbing gel, cooling gel, heating gel, tight fit and flavoured. I'm not sure what we haven't tried on the quest for "The best Condom Award in Allan's eyes".

So here goes with the review. I bought these condoms as we personally think that the thinner the condom the better the heat transfer and the closer the experience is to not wearing one.

Durex have paid full attention to every aspect of this condom range. The packet it comes in is a nice harder plastic, making it feel more expensive, and the easy peel lid is great when using lubed fingers to open.

We were caught on the hop a bit when I bought these as we were expecting another condom that had some big talk but would fail when you want it most. When it came to the time that we could control ourselves no more and it was time for protection, I pulled one on, which was easy and comfortable and we got down to it.

Within a couple of stroke it was instantly noticeable that the condom had great heat transfer from the walls of the vagina, causing us to stop a couple of times as we thought it had slipped off. But no, it was still anchored securely and no rips.

It was a great experience and I commented on how much I loved the heat transfer from her, but she also mentioned for the first time that she felt it from me also,

We love these as they are the Rolls Royce of the condom world. I would recommend these to any and everyone.

    2. Overall Rating:
      10 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Great thin super strong condom with amazing body heat transfer.
      Cons
A little bit pricey but still worth it.
      Bottom line
Blow my socks off every time, they rock our sex life.

    1. Didn't get to use them properly

      Reviewed: 24 August 2012 by Tiny85

These condoms seem really good when it comes to being "Closer" with your partner and the wrappers are really smart and luxurious.

Unfortunately we didn't get to follow these through to the end as they were too small for my partner and became uncomfortable for him.

But am otherwise very positive about these Durex condoms for the "Closeness", great packaging as the packets seem very durable (if you were carrying them in your pocket/wallet/purse) and a nice non-latex product!

    2. Overall Rating:
      8 out of 10 stars
      Pros
      They seemed super thin.
      Cons
Not large enough for my partner so didn't get to use them properly.
      Bottom line
Unable to give a complete review on this, wouldn't advise for larger men.

    1. Durex Deluxe Micro Fine: The diamond standard

Reviewed: 20 November 2010 by Tupperwareheart, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

Out of all the non-Latex condoms OH and I have tried (and there have been many), these are the very best.

      Packaging:

Well, you can see for yourself - they're beautifully packaged. Gone are the cardboard boxes that require you to shake one end or fumble inside it, and in their place, a stylish package with a lid that flips open and allows you to get at the condoms with ease.

The box and booklet inside proudly claim these are 'The Diamond Standard' in thinness. This makes them sound more like Finish dishwasher tablets than luxury contraception to me but there you go!

These condoms are really quite expensive. At £9.99 for 5 that works out and around £2 a go, and at first I was fearful that this extra money had simply bought us a snazzier box to keep the condoms in and little else. Thankfully I was proven wrong.

      Ease of Use:

The ingenious design doesn't stop at the outer packaging. Durex have completely changed the way they present the individual condoms here as well. The standard tear sachets have been replaced with little plastic pods, making sure each condom is stored safely and stylishly. I much prefer this design, the ease of pulling back the lid and the reassurance that the condom inside is so much better protected beats tearing at foil any day.

Another feature which is entirely superficial but lovely to have is the fact that these are completely transparent. Let's face it, a penis in a condom can occasionally resemble a sausage in a tight skin. With the new transparent design, you can barely see that it's on. A small point to make, but can make a difference.

My OH is average sized, but with other latex-free condoms we've found them very tight and tricky to get on, not so the Deluxe. They slide on so easily which really made the experience that little bit more enjoyable for us. As everyone knows, nothing kills the sexy mood faster than looking up at your partner to find them swearing at a small piece of rubber and struggling to squeeze themselves into it.

Lovehoney's description does note that these are Extra Large so maybe that's why they were a little easier to roll on, but either way it makes a nice change from the usual hassle and we didn't notice they were much larger in fit to the others we'd tried.

      Comfort:

      Bliss.

These are every bit as thin as advertised, Diamond Standard indeed. I'm not sure about the term 'superior heat transfer' but it did give us both the closest sensation to wearing nothing we've ever experienced.

The lube was truly wonderful too. Plenty of it, but not enough to make the condom impossible to keep on and it didn't have that strange smell I've found some do. In fact, the condoms are reassuringly odourless.

No chafing, no loosening or rolling down of the condom halfway through the fun. It stayed perfectly in place until we were done with it, everything I expect from a condom but until now haven't managed to find.

      Basically...

These are the best latex-free condoms I've found so far. They deliver everything they promise to, but at £2 a shag they should!

    2. Overall Rating:
      8 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Packaging, thinness, easy to put on, good lube.
      Cons
The price. To me they're worth it, but they're still very expensive.
      Bottom line
The closest thing to wearing nothing, you get what you pay for.
